Our one-year Diploma in Business sets you up for understanding and working in the business world.

It’s a great introduction to business for students who want to explore the topic before undertaking the full bachelor degree.The diploma also acts as a recognised qualification should you choose to come out of the Bachelor of Commerce after one year of learning.

Structure

To qualify for the degree of Diploma in Business, you must complete satisfactorily a program of study not less than 24 units, comprising: core courses to the value of 21 units elective courses to the value of 3 units.

Core Courses To satisfy the requirements for core courses, you must complete all of the following (total value 21 units): ACCTING 1002 Introductory Accounting  COMMGMT 1001 Managing Organisations and People  COMMLAW 1004 Commercial Law I  CORPFIN 1002 Business Finance  ECON 1008 Data Analytics  MARKETNG 1001 Introduction to Marketing  PROF 1000 Professional Practices Electives To satisfy the requirements for electives, you must complete courses to the value of 3 units from any undergraduate courses offered by the University that are available to you.

Entry requirements

For those who are based in Adelaide, we will be offering a blended delivery mode that combines face-to-face with remote learning in as many courses as possible, taking into consideration social distancing and hygiene. All lectures will continue to be delivered online for the remainder of the year, with some exceptions.

For our students who are studying offshore for the remainder of the 2020 Academic Year, the University will continue to offer high-quality access to the learning resources remotely. This includes all lectures, tutorials and other support material. Students will be advised in advance if there are course components that cannot be provided in remote mode and, wherever possible, offered alternative courses.
