Can we resolve cultural conflicts?Social scientists research complex social challenges and injustices.

They study human society and relationships—from the gender pay gap to the plight of refugees.

Armed with in-depth insights into underlying issues, social scientists can then help policymakers find the right solutions.

Students can take an optional major or minor in:  Criminology Politics and International Relations Sociology Psychology (minor only)

For those who are based in Adelaide, we will be offering a blended delivery mode that combines face-to-face with remote learning in as many courses as possible, taking into consideration social distancing and hygiene. All lectures will continue to be delivered online for the remainder of the year, with some exceptions.

For our students who are studying offshore for the remainder of the 2020 Academic Year, the University will continue to offer high-quality access to the learning resources remotely. This includes all lectures, tutorials and other support material. Students will be advised in advance if there are course components that cannot be provided in remote mode and, wherever possible, offered alternative courses.

Industry Placement

If you maintain a high GPA, you will have the opportunity take part in an internship in your third year with an organisation from within the arts, media, parliament or environment. These include State Parliament and a range of public and business sector agencies, where you can use the knowledge from your university study in a practical work environment, building valuable networks and gaining experience that counts towards your degree program and prepares you for your future career
