This certificate program is designed to build on undergraduate studies in the health and related sciences to develop specialist knowledge, skills and attitudes relating to human nutrition and health.
Successful graduates from this certificate program are well-placed to progress to further studies via the Masters of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice to become qualified as a dietitian and receive full credit for subjects studied in this degree.
This program is a useful pre-medical program for graduates with ambitions to enter post-graduate medical programs, as a pathway into postgraduate specialisation in nutrition or for internationally educated dietitians requiring professional updates before applying for Australian qualification recognition.

Successful graduates from the Certificate are well-placed to progress to further studies via the Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice to become qualified as a dietitian and are eligible to receive credit for subjects successfully completed in this degree.
Graduates are also eligible to progress into the Graduate Diploma in Nutrition to develop further knowledge and skills relating to human nutrition and health.
Learning and teaching methodology
The Bond University Graduate Certificate in Nutrition is designed to expose and engage students with professional, industry and workplace activities. In addition to case-based learning, small group projects, team work and simulated learning environments, students participate in, and are assessed on, practice-related activities outside the university environment to develop competency as nutrition professionals.
Students also benefit from the extensive professional experience of nutrition and dietetic academic staff in a range of fields, including clinical dietetics, sports nutrition, the food industry, private practice and public health nutrition, as well as their national and international professional networks

Entry requirements
Academic requirements
The minimum academic requirement is an undergraduate degree in health science or other related degree with at least two biochemistry subjects* at second year level where first year chemistry is a pre-requisite of these subjects and two physiology subjects** also at second year level.
Eligible undergraduate programs at Bond University:
- Bachelor of Biomedical Science^
- Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science
- Bachelor of Health Sciences^^
* Examples of a suitable pre-requisite subject include Bond’s BMED11-205 Medical Biochemistry 1 and BMED12-209 Medical Biochemistry 2.** Examples of a suitable pre-requisite subject include Bond’s Human Organ Systems subjects i.e. BMED11-110 Human Organ Systems 1 and BMED12-114 Human Organ Systems 2^ Must complete the Bond Bachelor of Biomedical Science in the Pre-Health Professional major.^^ Students must have completed the subjects of Medical Biochemistry 1 (BMED11-205) and Medical Biochemistry 2 (BMED12-209)

- Applications will then be assessed by the Faculty to determine your eligibility based on an assessment of academic performance.
- Short-listed applicants will be contacted for an interview to be held on-campus (at the expense of the applicant).
International students

English language proficiency requirements
Applicants whose previous study was not completed in one of the countries listed where English is considered a first language, must provide documented evidence of the required level of proficiency in the English language.

Credit for prior study
Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students.
