The September semester for this program will be delivered in a multi-modal format, with classes designed to support and engage all learners.
Whether they’re on campus or abroad, all students will be able to access Bond’s exceptional and personalised learning experience through dynamic and interactive lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops and lab sessions.The Master of Legal Administration (MLA) offers students with a non-law degree the opportunity to attain postgraduate qualifications in law.
Students may complete a generalist degree or elect to specialise in a particular area of law, combined with up to four postgraduate subjects from other disciplines.
This program is ideal for students from other fields and professions who wish to broaden their understanding of the law or specialize in an area of legal interest, yet do not wish to practise.

The Master of Legal Administration comprises 12 subjects:
Law compulsory subjects (4 x 10cps)
- LAWS75-105 Legal Foundations A
- LAWS75-106 Legal Foundations B
- LAWS75-107 Foundations of Private Law
- LAWS75-108 Foundations of Public and Criminal Law
40cps of elective law subjects
Students must choose four law subjects from the list of postgraduate law subjects.
Students may choose to complete an optional Law Specialisation in one of the following areas:
- Canadian Law and Practice
- Corporate and Commercial Law and Practice
- Dispute Resolution
- International Business and Finance Law
To be eligible for a Law Specialisation, students must complete a minimum of four (4) of their law electives (40 credit points) within one of the above areas.
40cps of other elective subjects
Students must choose four postgraduate subjects from any Faculty or School at Bond University.
International students
To fulfil student visa requirements, students will need to enrol in a minimum of 40 credit points per semester. Under Australian student visa regulations the number of online subjects undertaken by student visa holders in this program cannot exceed 20 cps.
Domestic students
Most students undertake four (4) subjects per semester (equivalent to 40 credit points). You may however enrol in fewer subjects and extend your degree over a longer period.
Teaching methodology
Bond University’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.
Entry requirements
Completion of an undergraduate degree program in any field from an approved institution.
Learning outcomes
This degree does not qualify a graduate for admission as a legal practitioner; rather, the program is intended for students from other fields and professions who wish to supplement their knowledge of law in a particular area.
