About

The Graduate Diploma of Valuation and Property Development is designed to prepare students with a strong knowledge base and technical skills for careers within property related industries and professions.

The application of the knowledge and skills developed in the program will allow graduates to demonstrate autonomy, expert judgement, adaptability and responsibility as a practitioner across a range of career paths in property related fields such as investment, finance, property management and property research.

The attributes gained from the Graduate Diploma of Valuation and Property Development will allow you to work in the property sector in Australia and around the world.

Structure

The structure of the Graduate Diploma of Valuation and Property Development is based on theoretical and practical subjects.

Select six (6) of the following subjects:

  • SSUD71-101        Understanding Buildings
  • SSUD71-106        Real Estate Property Rights
  • SSUD71-107        Property Investment and Valuation
  • SSUD71-109        Commercial Valuation
  • SSUD71-124        Property Development
  • SSUD71-126        Property Finance and Investment
  • SSUD71-300        Planning and Assessment Processes
  • SSUD71-328        Specialist and Statutory Valuation

General Elective (2)

Choice of two subjects from the list of available postgraduate subjects from across the University.

Students are encouraged to consider the following subject options and an elective(s) to complement their degree:

  • SSUD71-216 Corporate Property and Asset Management
  • SSUD71-125 Feasibility Analysis 
  • SSUD71-237 Infrastructure and City Economics.

Students wishing to complete the CPV qualification must:

* Choose 2 of these 3 subjects** Choose 2 of these 4 subjects. SSUD71-106 must be taken if Property Law has not previously been studied.

Study load

Domestic students

You have the option of taking any number of subjects to a maximum of  four (4) per semester.

Teaching methodology

Bond University’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.

Academic entry requirements

Completion of an Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent at an approved institution.

As tuition is delivered in English, all students will be required to provide documented evidence of the required level of proficiency in the English language. Read more detailed information on English Language Proficiency Requirements for university study.

Credit for prior study

Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students. Please refer to how to apply for credit for more information
