The Graduate Diploma in SportManagement enables students and practitioners from various backgrounds to develop advanced knowledge and skills relevant to navigating managerial challenges and opportunities in the international sport industry.
This program is designed to enhance the career opportunities of established professionals, as well as assist individuals currently working in other sectors develop some of the advanced knowledge and skills required to work in this unique sector.
Graduates are also eligible to progress into the Master of SportManagement to further develop knowledge and skills relating to management in the diverse sport industry.
Subjects completed in the Graduate Diploma program are credited to the Masterprogram.
Structure
The Graduate Diploma of Sport Management program comprises 8 subjects, as follows:
Directed elective subjects (6)(students must complete six (6) of the following subjects)

Elective (2)
- Students can choose 20 Credit Points of General Elective Subjects (20cp).
- General elective – A subject that may be chosen from any subject on offer across the University provided requisites, enrolment restrictions and any other faculty requirements have been met.
Opportunity
Students may also choose one of the following opportunities to use your elective subject to have international experiences or an Internship opportunity provided you meet the requirements. Please discuss with the Enrolment Advisor in the Student Business Centre.
Study Tour
- The Study Tour requires approval from the Faculty. (Please note that additional costs and visa requirements are associated with this subject).
Business Internship
- The Internship requires a 2.0 GPA and approval from the Faculty with an application to the Career Development Centre.
Individual Study Topic
- The Individual Study Topic is only available in exceptional circumstances and requires the Program Director's approval.

Learning outcomes
The Bond University Graduate Diploma in Sport Management is designed to challenge students to critically analyse the growing interaction between sport, business and the international arena, as well as to broaden your knowledge and skills relating to high performance sport, sustainable event management, strategic sport marketing, and sport law and governance.
The Graduate Diploma provides a unique pathway to progress into the Master of Sport Management. Both programs are designed to build on your existing skill sets and experience and prepare you for a range of leadership and management roles in sport specific disciplines. Subjects completed in the Graduate Diploma are credited to the Master program.
