Our Diploma of Science is an inspiring introduction to all areas of science.

You will develop knowledge and skills that equip you with confidence in the laboratory and prepare you for further science study.When you finish you will get credit to enter the following science related degrees:It will take 2 terms of full-time study.

If needed, you have up to 8 terms to finish.

Structure

Diploma of Science (24 credit points) Required - Must pass 21 credit points as follows
  • 4732 - Communication in Science - 3 cp, Level 1 8772 - Biology 1 - 3 cp, Level 1 8773 - Chemistry 1 - 3 cp, Level 1 8774 - Introduction to Biology - 3 cp, Level 1 8775 - Introduction to Chemistry - 3 cp, Level 1 8776 - Introduction to Physical Science and Maths - 3 cp, Level 1 9487 - Academic English - 3 cp, Level 1
Restricted Choice - Must pass 3 credit points from the following
  • 577 - Mathematical Methods - 3 cp, Level 1 9421 - Analytical Skills in Science - 3 cp, Level 1

Entry requirements

Admission Requirements

Normal UC requirements for admission to an undergraduate course with an ATAR of at least 60 or equivalent. Mature age and other applicants will be assessed on a case by case basis under the University's admission policies.
