You will open a direct pathway to a Bachelor of Design, or any of the faculty’s suite of design degrees, from which you can focus on any design field you wish.On finishing your diploma you can enter directly into 2nd year of a Bachelor of DesignYou may choose to enter the design industry directly as a team member or assistant designer in a range of fields, including:

• Management Stream - 24 credit points as follows This stream is for students seeking entry to the Bachelor of Building & Construction Management. Required - Must pass 15 credit points as follows 10187 - Built Environment Technology 1 - 3 cp, Level 1 11013 - Pixels and Polygons - 3 cp, Level 1 11021 - BE: Visual Communication - 3 cp, Level 1 11330 - Professional Orientation - 3 cp, Level 1 11331 - Design History, Culture and Society - 3 cp, Level 1 Restricted Choice - Must pass 9 credit points from the following 9487 - Academic English - 3 cp, Level 1 10087 - Engineering Mathematics - 3 cp, Level 1 11009 - Business Decision Making - 3 cp, Level 1 11174 - Introduction to Management - 3 cp, Level 1 Note:International students with less than 6.0 IELTS or equivalent must complete Academic English (9487).

Admission Requirements

Completion of year 12 or equivalent and evidence of some previous design studies or submission of a scanned design portfolio. Students onshore will be selected by an interview process.
