If you are currently employed in an informatics or IT role within the public sector and looking for career advancement, then the part-time UC Graduate Certificate in Government Informatics course could be the boost you need to take your career to the next level.
This degree is delivered as part of the Digital Graduate Program run by the Australian Federal Government’s Digital Transformation Agency in conjunction with a public sector sponsor organisation (which is usually your current place of employment), and is aimed at fostering future government leaders in IT.
Over the course, you will be given the opportunity to advance your technical knowledge, develop your theoretical skills, and learn how to communicate complex ideas and make high-level management decisions within a government environment.

This methodology actively encourages students to undertake real-world projects relating to their own workplace issues and put theory into practice on a daily basis.Whether you’re working for a large or small government department, the very nature of this course also means that you will be able study with complete support and encouragement from your employer.The UC Graduate Certificate in Government Informatics is a unique course that offers those already working in IT within a government environment the opportunity to progress into any of the following positions including:Students must have a bachelor’s degree in business informatics, information systems, information technology or a related discipline or equivalent from Australia or a recognised overseas institution.
Additionally, students must be currently employed in an informatics area of a public sector agency.
This course is available on a restricted basis to students in the Digital Graduate Program being run by the Australian Federal Government’s Digital Transformation Agency.

Entry requirements
Admission Requirements
Bachelor degree from Australia or a recognised overseas institution in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent. Current employment in an informatics area of a public sector agency.
Additional Admission Requirements
This course is available on a restricted basis to students in the ICT Graduate Programme being run by the Department of Finance.
