Choosing to study a Graduate Diploma in Communication will enhance your knowledge and skills as a professional and highly skilled worker, applying communication principles to global issues and organisational trends.Building on prior studies in your undergraduate degree, you will focus on the direct application of communication to issues relevant to senior management decisions.

You will investigate solutions to problems regarding analysis, planning, implementation and evaluation, across a range of professional communication environments.Work Integrated Learning is a key focus of the course and there are extensive opportunities to connect with industry, including real-world case studies, industry-linked research and practice projects.Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Communication will receive credit for the four Graduate Certificate (level G) units.If you are interested in pursuing a career in research, we provide a clear pathway to the Master of Communication degree.

Graduate Diploma in Communication (24 credit points) Required - Must pass 18 credit points as follows

Restricted Choice - Must pass 6 credit points from the following
  • 8622 - Risk Communication PG - 3 cp, Level P 9105 - Advanced Marketing Communication Theory PG - 3 cp, Level P 9106 - Brand, Strategy and Integration PG - 3 cp, Level P 9108 - Issues Analysis and Management PG - 3 cp, Level P 9113 - International and Sectoral Marketing Communication PG - 3 cp, Level P 9115 - Strategic Communication Planning PG - 3 cp, Level P

Entry requirements

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree (AQF level 7) or equivalent as approved by the University Admissions Committee.Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Communication (UC) will receive credit for the 4 Graduate Certificate (level G) units.In making an offer to an applicant, the University will give consideration to a range of factors including English proficiency, academic record and/or employment experience.

Additional Admission Requirements

An academic IELTS or equivalent of 6.0 with no band score below 6.0
