Diploma of Professional Communication
Central Queensland University
About
The eight-unit, 48 credit point, Diploma of Professional Communication will produce graduates who have an introductory knowledge of professional communication, public relations, journalism, human resource management, management, digital media production and marketing.
It will provide an exit degree option for the Bachelor of Professional Communication.
The advantage of this diploma to students is that it gives an academic reward to those who cannot continue their studies for whatever reason, but who have nonetheless been successful up to the end of their first year (or later, if undertaken part-time).
The advantage to the School of Humanities and Communication and to the Higher Education Division is that it will prevent some attrition.
