Structure
Bachelor degrees with honours typically contain a series of units which may include compulsory (core), optional or elective units to cater for student preferences. They may contain a range of majors/streams for students to choose from to pursue learning in a specialised area of study. They comprise honours-level research within the coursework of the course and are at least four years in duration.
In the first half of the course, students undertake two 50 credit point units including, either HUMN4004 Humanities Honours Project 1 (50 credits) or HUMN4000 Humanities Honours Dissertation 1 (50 credits) and HUMN4003 Theories and Methods for Honours Research (50 credits). For the second half of the course, students will continue the second component of the Project/Dissertation unit, i.e. HUMN4005 Humanities Honours Project 2 (50 credits) or HUMN4001 Humanities Honours Dissertation 2 (50 credits), and HUMN4002 Honours Research Seminar (50 credits).
