MJRP-SSTMG v.2 Sustainability Transformation Management Major (MSc Science)
Curtin University
About
This major/stream is part of a larger course. Information is specific to the major/stream, please refer to the course for more information.
Sustainability management focuses on ensuring that our production and consumption systems work towards improving our quality of life whilst living within the carrying capacity of our supporting eco-systems. In addition, sustainability management is also a call to action, for industry, government, policy makers and the community in setting out the working parameters for sustainable development in our society. Although sustainable development is now widely accepted as a global challenge, there is not yet a widespread understanding or acceptance of its implications. This major deals with the challenges posed by the global quest for more sustainable development and the opportunities this presents to businesses, governments and communities alike. It also equips decision makers in the private and public sectors with the tools and skills necessary to analyse sustainability issues, and plan, evaluate and manage organisational change to improve an organisation's economic, environmental and social performance.
