MJRU-BIOCH v.2 Biochemistry Major (BSc Science)
Curtin University
About
This major/stream is part of a larger course. Information is specific to the major/stream, please refer to the course for more information.
Many of the advances in plant and animal health rely on the understanding of both chemistry and biology. This Major will provide graduates with skills and knowledge to work in this exciting interface. Students who choose to pursue the Biochemistry Major commence their study program with a range of science units designed to provide them with foundation skills and knowledge on which to build and specialise their degree. The second and third year program consists of a set of core units which develop skills essential to all practising biochemists. Students have the option to augment their core units of study in the Biochemistry Major with concurrent studies in either a 'chemistry' or 'environment' stream.
