Major/Minor/Stream Learning Outcomes
A graduate of this course can:
1. understand and apply knowledge relating to financial planning to analyse issues concerning the financial planning industry
2. identify structures and formulate issues and apply appropriate skills to provide optimal advice for issues in financial planning
3. collect and analyse empirical data and conceptual information and be able to synthesis into appropriate frameworks for analysis of financial planning issues
4. communicate in oral, written and qualitative and quantitative media channels; be able to communicate with both clients and professionals in the financial planning industry
5. distinguish, identify and apply available technologies and methodologies in financial planning
6. identify new development in industry regulation for financial planning and integrate available strategies into the existing body of knowledge; and be able to reflect upon their implications for financial planning
7. understand the implications and potential impacts of current developments in the financial planning industry on both domestic and international clients
8. understand the importance and impact of cultural diversity on providing financial planning advice for both domestic and international clients
9. be able to apply acquired skills individually and in a team to facilitate the understanding and solution of financial planning issues in a professional and ethical manner
