SPPC-OILGS v.2 Energy Futures Specialisation (MBA)
Curtin University
About
Specialisations/Minors prepare students to develop broad knowledge about an additional discipline area or same discipline area that complements their study in an award course. Some Specialisations may assist students to progress into postgraduate studies, but have specific entry requirements.
This unique MBA offering is the only one of its kind in Australia and is specifically designed, with industry input, to meet the needs of middle and senior managers working in the oil and gas sector. The specialisation is offered in partnership with the Aberdeen Business School (part of Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Scotland) which is located in another world energy hub. The curriculum combines oil and gas knowledge, and energy management with the core requirements of an MBA to ensure that graduates have a broad coverage of key functional disciplines of business management, as well as specialised knowledge of oil and gas. Faculty members teaching on the program are drawn from the Faculty of Business and Law, the Department of Minerals and Energy Economics, the Centre for Mineral and Energy Economics and from industry. The units offered through RGU are available fully online.
Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks and other essential study materials.
