This nationally-recognised one-year qualification reflects the role of performers working or aspiring to work in musical theatre and cabaret productions.

Students will develop skills in acting, singing and dancing, and the important integration of all three, through highly practical classes and production projects.

Structure

Students complete 6 core units and 10 elective units, in accordance with CUA50213 Diploma of Musical Theatre packaging rules.

Entry requirements

Admission requirement (Band 1)

  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent.

English Language requirement (Band 1)

English competency requirements may be satisfied through completion of one of the following:

  • Year 10 English completion or equivalent.

Course Specific Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to attend an audition, and attend an interview, and normally be turning 18 by 30 June in the year of commencing the course.

Portfolio pathway applications are not accepted for this course.
