If you have always wanted to learn the machining skills to be able to operate lathes and milling machines in your workplace with independence and confidence, but just NEVER get the time or mentoring during your work day, here's your chance!
This course will provide participants with practical skills in general machining on lathes, milling machines to supplement their existing Metal Worker or other trade skills.
Participants will be trained in general machining and the use of commercial lathes and milling machines prior to putting their skills to use in the manufacture of their choice of project.
Smaller custom projects will be considered by negotiation following course enrolment and conditional on obtaining sufficient foundation skills with machine use.
You will be required to wear personal protective clothing at all times in the practical workshop which include steel capped safety boots, clear safety glasses, coverall style overalls.
