Course pre-requisites | JCU College Foundation Program with a minimum achievement of a pass in all subjects and a GPA of 4.50; or an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 50 or equivalent. |
Minimum English language proficiency requirements | Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements assessed under the Australian International English Language Testing System (IELTS), of at least 6.5 with no element less than 6.5, or the JCU College EAP Level 4 program; or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 86 (no component less than 23) or Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) 58 (no component less than 58). |
Additional selection requirements | Information published by JCU or otherwise made available to students when applying, may specify additional criteria to be considered in ranking applicants in order of merit if the number of applications exceeds a quota or other limit on the places made available for the course. Learning outcomes
This course provides you a pathway opportunity to enter an undergraduate degree if you do not meet the prerequisites for the Bachelor of Nursing Science. You will also build an understanding of the key components of the communication process for nurses and learn the fundamentals of physiological systems
Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Health (Nursing Pathway), and pending you achieving the relevant English language requirements, you will be ready for entry into the second year of the nationally accredited Bachelor of Nursing Science.
