Structure

This course is structured in three parts:

  • Part A. Business management foundation
  • Part B. Specialisation studies
  • Part C. Application studies

All students complete Part C. Depending upon prior qualifications, you may receive credit for Part A or Part B or both.

Note: If you are eligible for credit for prior studies, you may elect not to receive the credit.

Units are 6 credit points unless otherwise stated.

Part A. Business management foundation (24 points)

These studies will introduce you to business management practice at an advanced graduate level. They are designed to extend your ability to manage the organisation while building on existing professional work experience.

Part B. Specialisation studies (24 points)

The focus of these studies is to develop your expertise in a discipline and provide the knowledge and skills needed for the capacity to work and communicate across the borders of context or discipline.

Part C. Application studies (24 points)

The focus of these studies is professional and project work that can contribute to a portfolio of professional development.

Entry requirements

Qualifications

Applicants must have completed an Australian bachelor degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent qualification and achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 or an equivalent Grade Point Average as determined by the Monash Business School.

OR

Applicants must have completed an Australian bachelor degree and achieved a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 60 or an equivalent Grade Point Average as approved by the Monash Business School plus two years relevant work experience.

English requirements

Applicants must also meet the English language requirements.
