The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)(Mechatronics)/Bachelor of Mathematics combined degree program provides students with an opportunity to undertake concurrent study in mechatronics engineering and mathematics and complete two awards.
In general, a combined degree program offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree.
At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills.
From the control of robots to the optimisation of modern vehicles, to the design of appliances to biomechanics, mechatronics engineers become involved in a diverse range of exciting modern technologies.
This may also include the design, automation and operational performance of electro-mechanical systems combined with mathematics.
Students gain valuable expertise analysing data, producing models and predicting future trends in a variety of areas.
