The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours)/ Bachelor of Science combined degree program provides students with an opportunity to undertake concurrent study in mechanical engineering and science (with a major) and complete two awards.
In general, this combined degree program offers greater breadth of learning, enhancing the academic and professional qualities gained in each separate degree.
At the same time, it recognises the increasing need for students to graduate with multidisciplinary skills.
This program offers a sound introduction to the fundamental principles of engineering science and practice as well as systems while also giving students the basic skills and knowledge to contribute to scientific development in many areas of technology, industry, agriculture or the information revolution.Students can choose from either of the three Bachelor of Science majors (Physics or Earth Sciences or Chemistry) currently available in this combined program.
