The Graduate Certificate in Education (Inclusive Education) will draw on your prior experience, and build your knowledge to:

understand best practice in inclusive education strengthen your ability to lead the implementation of evidence-based inclusive practice develop skills in the design of multi-tiered supports and reasonable adjustments to curriculum, pedagogy and assessment in consultation with learners and in collaboration with parents, allied health professionals and teacher aides critically evaluate professional practices that support the creation of positive, safe and supportive learning environments for all learners.

Structure

Domestic Students

To graduate with the Graduate Certificate in Education (Inclusive Education) you will need to complete all units in the Inclusive Education major. You may only study the Inclusive Education major part time.

 

International Students

The Graduate Certificate in Education (Inclusive Education) is only available to non-student visa holders or international students studying from their home country. This course is available 1 year part-time. To graduate with the Graduate Certificate in Education (Inclusive Education) you will need to complete all units in the Inclusive Education major.

International students studying on a student visa may only study full time. If that's you, you will need to refer to Graduate Certificate in Education - Choice of Units to create a full-time course structure.

 

 

Entry requirements

  • A recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline; or
  • A recognised diploma in a relevant discipline with at least two years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in a relevant area; or
  • Five years full-time (or equivalent) professional work experience in the relevant field.

This course is designed to prepare teachers and allied professionals with the knowledge and experience they need in order to best support the learning, social and behavioural needs of diverse learners in inclusive classrooms.

You have the option to keep learning and build towards a Master of Education.

Course articulation(INT)

You have the option to further your studies with a Master of Education. In the Master of Education you can choose to continue online study or consider face-to-face studies at our Kelvin Grove campus.
