Our Graduate Diploma in Information Technology has been developed to align with emerging IT industry trends.
Structure
Domestic Students
To graduate with a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology you are required to complete 96 credit points of course units consisting of:
- 48 credit points of core units, comprising of eight 6 credit points of IT foundation units; plus
- 48 credits points of discipline units from your chosen major selection.

International Students

A recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline.

You will be qualified to work with IT service providers, consultancies and vendors, and be in demand in government departments, the finance and banking sector, and within healthcare, advanced manufacturing, engineering, mining and agriculture.
Course articulation(DOM)
Upon successful completion of this course, you will eligible for entry into IN20 - Master of Information Technology, with a reduced course duration.
Course articulation(INT)
QUT offers an pathway for international students who want to study a Master of Information Technology. The Graduate Certificate in Communication for Information Technology (IN17) is designed to help students acquire postgraduate level knowledge and skill in a specialist information technology discipline, while developing competency in English language and academic literacy. Upon successful completion of IN17, students are eligible for one semester of advanced standing towards the Master of Information Technology (see course description for details).
