About
The Master of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) course will enable you to develop in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understandings of current research, theory and practice that will inform effective teaching and learning with young children and their families in early years programs and services.
The staff involved in teaching the units in this study area are early childhood experts who are all recognised in their specific fields.
They are involved in specialist teaching, research, and professional and community engagement activities, with strong links to the teaching profession and early childhood sector.

Entry requirements
- A recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in teaching or education; plus
- Current Australian teacher registration.
Learning outcomes

Qualified teachers are able, on completion, to become early childhood specialists, both in schools and as leaders in early childhood education and care services, including a range of prior-to-school settings.
Professional recognition(DOM,INT)
This study area is recognised by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority as a specialist early childhood qualification.
Early exit(DOM,INT)
You can exit the course with a Graduate Certificate in Education (Early Childhood) following completion of four specialist early childhood units and a Graduate Certificate in Education with completion of any four masters units.
