The Bachelor of Engineering(Electrical & Electronic Eng)(Honours)/Bachelor of Business(Entrepreneurship) aims to:provide learning experiences that provide you with the knowledge and skills essential for a professional career in electrical and electronic engineering.

prepare you to be ready to take up employment in electrical and electronic engineering and related industries including engaging in entrepreneurial activities.

The related industries include the power generation and distribution, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, biomedical, resource, defence, and primary industries.

develop knowledge and skills that are vital managerial capabilities in today’s globally competitive and volatile business environment.

develop your ability to think critically, to communicate effectively, and to analyse and understand multidisciplinary business practices in an entrepreneurial fashion.

enable you to launch and manage new ventures, undertake business practices in firms with a high degree of competency, and manage and grow businesses using entrepreneurial techniques.You will undertake a capstone experience in the final year courses OENG1167 Engineering Capstone Project Part A and OENG1168 Engineering Capstone Project Part B, in which you will conduct a research project that can be analytical, experimental, design or computational in nature (or some combination).In the fourth year of the program, the capstone experience course BUSM1325 New Venture Creation provides the culmination of the knowledge, skills and applied work practice experiences that prepare you to transit into the business world.This program is primarily delivered in face-to-face mode at the City Campus.

Program entry requirements

Successful completion of an Australian Year 12 senior secondary certificate of education or equivalent. For information on international qualifications and corresponding entry requirements that are equivalent to Australian academic entry requirements, see the Country equivalents web page

Prerequisites Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) prerequisite units 3 and 4—a study score of at least 20 in Mathematical methods (CAS) or Specialist Mathematics; and a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in any other English.
