About
The Photography Honours program will introduce you to research as a mode of practice-led inquiry in the multiple narratives of contemporary photography.
Intensive studio and workshop practice will develop your capacity to creatively explore photography through a critical analysis of research and practice.
You will be required to attend on-campus classes throughout the delivery of the program so that you can produce high quality photographic works, with access to photographic studios, editing and printing facilities.
On-campus classes will also provide opportunties for you to critique your own work and the work of others in a group setting with your lecturers and fellow students.The program will engender you with greater self-reliance in initiating and undertaking independent research as an integral part of your professional and scholarly development.
This will prepare you for independent professional practice and with the appropriate knowledge and skills required for further studies at postgraduate level.Successful completion of the program may provide a pathway to higher degree research and see you prepared to work nationally and internationally in the various fields that define contemporary photography.

Entry requirements
You must have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in a relevant photographic discipline with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (out of 4.0).
International English language requirement
A minimum of IELTS (Academic module) overall score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0, or equivalent. For equivalents to English entry requirements, see the English requirements web page.
Selection tasks
All applicants must complete and submit the selection task. Some applicants may be required to attend a folio presentation.
