About
Product Managers are responsible for the end to end development and improvement of products that solve current and future market needs.
This is a highly multi-disciplinary occupation, with responsibilities spanning capability and knowledge areas such as leadership, business and strategy, customer experience and design, operations and process, and sales and marketing.Over the duration of this program you will participate in a variety of learning experiences which are designed to support you in developing skills as a Product Management graduate.
While digital products will be emphasised, the focus is on developing the core product management skills and knowledge transferable across all product management roles.
The curriculum incorporates:
product and business strategy, customer experience and design, product development and operations, and leadership, particularly in digital contexts.
In addition, you have access to RMIT Online’s Future Skills short courses as part of your study in a related area to further deepen your product management acumen.
These Future Skills short courses are part of the learning experience within the courses which comprise of the program structure.Learning and teaching approaches for this program may include webinars, problem-based learning and case studies.
Activities and tasks are designed to facilitate theory application and peer learning in a collaborative, open manner using online tools such as Slack and interactive discussion forums.
All assessable activities will be project based to enable you to graduate with a portfolio of projects as evidence of your learning.The program will prepare you to work as a Product Manager in a wide range of industries, government and non-government organisations.This program is available for online study only.

Entry requirements
Academic Entrance requirements
Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent or higher level qualification in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
Alternate Entry
No prior academic qualifications but a minimum of 5 years full-time (FTE) work experience is required.
Applicants will be required to submit a CV.
Entrance requirements for international onshore applicants All non-Australian residents and overseas full-fee paying students are required to meet RMIT English language requirements. Learning outcomes
In this program you will learn and apply the skills required of a Product Manager in contemporary product companies. You will gain knowledge about the strategic, commercial, customer, design, technology and operational influences and implications on the development and ongoing management of products. You will develop the critical thinking and decision-making capabilities required to lead a product and apply this through a variety of activity based learning experiences.
