The Graduate Certificate in Blockchain Enabled Business will provide you with practical and theoretical foundations in the nature and application of, and business and societal impacts of blockchain and related distributed-ledger technologies (DLTs).

This program aims to develop specific knowledge and skills related to DLTs as well as more general capabilities in analysis and problem-solving, to meet the current and future expectations of business, government, professional services and social enterprises.The program equips students with the skills to identify and explore complex elements and develop innovative solutions.

Over the duration of the program you will experience a variety learning experiences which are designed to assist developing skills as an independent and lifelong learner.

Learning and teaching approaches for this program include:

lectures and tutorials, problem-based learning, assignments, projects, the use of assessment and feedback tools, as well as the completion of a major research project.

The types of assessment used in the program may take the form of formal examinations, assignments, case studies, projects, and in-class tests.The aim of the program is to provide students with the fundamental understanding of blockchain and DLTs as well as their applications and broad legal and ethical implications that will enable them to provide analysis and solutions within a private sector, public sector or social enterprise context.

Blockchain and distributed ledger is a relatively new technology that is emerging as vitally important for all sectors of the economy and society.

The range of potential field of employment available for graduates of this program is varied, but includes banking and finance, public policy and regulation, professional services and consultancy and social and charitable enterprises that will have a requirement for high level knowledge and expertise in the technology and its application.

This program is delivered on-campus.

Entry requirements

The entry requirements for this program are:

  • An Australian Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or higher level qualification in any discipline

Alternate Entry:

  • No prior academic qualifications but a minimum of 5 years full-time Equivalent (FTE) work experience is required*
