Graduate Certificate in Workforce Transformation
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology
About
Workforce transformation is a re-imagining of work, workforces and workplaces at the same time in response to rapid changes in social, environmental and technological and business contexts.
For example, how does a manager plan for a sustainable and capable workforce in healthcare that addresses its ageing population while also considering opportunities and risks in artificial intelligence led task automation?
This is one of hundreds of questions organisations are facing without the expertise to answer such questions.Whereas workforce transformation and human capital issues are generally seen as cross-organisational responsibilities, human resource managers, recruitment and training managers, and change consultants can play a key role in the successful adoption of such transformations over time due to their interactions with so many people within the business.
However, for these role types to take the lead in such initiatives requires major shifts in mind-set, roles, capabilities and digital enablers with reinvention at the core.In response, the purpose of the Graduate Certificate in Workforce Transformation is to prepare human resource professionals and change consultants with knowledge and abilities to anticipate, shape and continuously guide the people component of workforce transformations that are inclusive and create business value.
This program equips students with the ability to recommend workforce strategies that appreciate the relationships between structural workforce changes and the drivers of business value.
Students will become adept at using point in time and long term trends in workforce analytics to recommend business decisions in areas such as training and development, recruitment and employee engagement while also developing ethical and reflective practices for leading ongoing and fundamental changes to work, workers, workforces and workplaces.Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Workforce Transformation can expect to be employed in workforce development roles, workforce transformation project management, change consultants or HR professionals of varying levels, depending on your level of relevant work experience when you graduate.Over the duration of this program you will participate in a variety of learning experiences which are designed to support you in developing the knowledge and skills of a workforce transformation leader.
