About
The Graduate Diploma of Creative Media (Film and Television Production is designed to develop your abilities to research, script and produce a film or television project, either drama, documentary or studio-based, that will expand your skill base in various aspects of production.
You will be encouraged to intersect with creative practitioners from other fields and broaden your creative networks.On completion of the program you will be a reflective practitioner who can contribute creatively and responsibly to the development of the industry

An undergraduate (Bachelor) degree in a related area;

2. Professional Practice requirements
Significant and relevant industry experience may be considered for entry purposes, subject to approval of the Program Coordinator and the Head of School.
International Applicants

English requirements
International applicants need to have achieved any of:
- IELTS - 6.5+ (no band less than 6.0)
- TOEFL - Paper Based = 580+ (TWE 4.5+)
- TOEFL (IBT) overall score 92, minimum 20 in all sections
- REW - Advanced Plus Certificate (Advanced 2 Certificate pre-2011)
Learning outcomes
In developing this program, consultation occurred with industry representatives in the area of Film and Television Production. The outcome of that consultation determined specific knowledge and skills that you will be able to demonstrate in order to make valuable contributions to the industry.
As a graduate, you will be able to situate and apply your practice within a theoretical framework relevant to film and television production. You will develop the capacity to refine original concepts and communicate them effectively in the film and television medium. You will demonstrate an inter-disciplinary approach to your work and operate as a professional in this area.
As a graduate of this program you will be able to:
- Communicate ideas in ways that are appropriate to film and television
- Develop and present original concepts in a professional manner and translate concepts into practice or a creative product
- Apply a theoretical, historical and cultural reference to the discipline
- Demonstrate teamwork skills and leadership appropriate to an industry that relies on collaboration
- Solve problems effectively and creatively
- Operate as a creative practitioner and/or entrepreneur within a changing industry context
- Interrogate and reflect upon personal work and the work of others, contributing to the knowledge base and practice of the film and television
