The Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning is a qualifying award for those wishing to upgrade their financial planning qualifications for registration with the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) or an early exit point from the Master of Financial Planning and the Master of Financial Planning (CPA Australia Extension).
The Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning delivers an accredited entry-level professional qualification which prepares you for work as a registered financial planner in Australia.A rapidly changing work environment requires graduates who are critical, creative, resilient and able to design solutions for clients seeking financial planning advice.
This program provides you with the knowledge and skills to critically analyse financial information and create effective financial planning proposals that are clearly communicated to clients.The program provides learning experiences to apply financial planning theories and concepts across a range of core financial areas of interest such as superannuation and retirement.
Students will be involved in a variety of face-to-face and online learning activities, which includes lectures, simulations and other experiential activities (seminars, individual and team presentations, and preparing formal advice proposals).This program is delivered on-campus.This an entry/exit award at Graduate Diploma level for those students wanting minimal credentials;
and an entry award for the Master of Financial PlanningTo complete the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, students must complete all the prescribed 8 courses.Campus availability of these courses may also vary across semesters.

Entry requirements
The entry requirements for this program are:
- Any prior degree or equivalent from a recognised university; or
- An Australian Graduate Certificate or equivalent in any discipline; or
- RMIT Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning.
