About
The Master of Project Management is designed to enable you to develop your critical knowledge of project management theories and concepts and apply these across a range of project management professions.
This program emphasises the application of theoretical knowledge to practice and is designed to build your capability to respond to current and emerging issues, trends and management practices.
Upon graduation with a Master of Project Management you will be able to work at a high level as a project management professional and apply your capability and expertise to diverse organisations and industries, including construction and property.

Entry requirements
Entrance Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following:
- An advanced diploma plus five years relevant work experience
- A bachelor degree in any discipline plus three years relevant work experience
- A bachelor degree in a related discipline
In addition, students must satisfy one of the following English requirements:
IELTS of 6.5+ (no band less than 6.0) TOEFL – Paper based = 580+ (TWE 4-5+) TOEFL – Computer based = 237+ (TWE 4.5+) ELICOS – EAP Advanced RMIT English Worldwide (REW) - Advanced
Learning outcomes
As a graduate of the Master of Project Management program you will have developed and been assessed on the following capabilities. These capabilities reflect both the local and international context and align with the principles and best practice prescribed by the PMI (Project Management Institute).
KNOWLEDGE You will develop a thorough knowledge project management principles and best practice. You will build knowledge through completion of applied projects and also develop high level information literacy skills.
CRITICAL ANALYSIS You will develop your capacity to critically examine and reflect upon current issues fundamental to the project management profession, and to question accepted interpretations, decision making and professional practice.
CREATIVITY You will develop your capability to analyse problems from a variety of perspectives and formulate innovative solutions to industry issues and problems.
COMMUNICATION You will develop high level written and verbal professional communication skills and the capacity to communicate effectively across all levels of industry and management.
TEAM WORK You will develop your team work and leadership skills by undertaking applied project management projects, including those in partnership with external project stakeholders.
