You'll study planning, marketing and management strategies, developing the skills you’ll need to organise and run corporate events, conventions, meetings, festivals, music performances and many other events.With our close ties to the tourism, hospitality and events industries, you’ll also complete a 14-week internship that will provide invaluable experience for a career in Australia and abroad.Graduates undertake a variety of professional positions such as event planning, conference organisation, concert production, festival direction, talent management, and sponsorship coordination.

Structure

Part A

Entry requirements

  1. To be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Business in Convention and Event Management, a candidate shall successfully complete twenty-four (24) units (288 credit points) comprising:
  2. all units listed in Part A (First year core units);
  3. all units listed in Part B (Second and Third year core units); and
  4. eight (8) units from Part C; or
  5. six (6) units from Part C and two (2) elective units from the University-wide offerings.
  6. To be eligible for the award of Associate Degree of Business in Convention and Event Management a candidate shall successfully complete sixteen (16) units (192 credit points) comprising:
  7. all units listed in Part A; and
  8. eight (8) units from either Part B and/or Part C.
  9. A candidate who, while enrolled in the Bachelor of Business in Convention and Event Management, may elect to be awarded the Associate Degree of Business in Convention and Event Management following withdrawal from the Bachelor Degree.
