About
The Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation is designed to help students understand the challenges and opportunities that can arise when embarking on a new business venture or leading a period of change within an organisation.
The course focuses on the specific needs of entrepreneurs seeking to successfully commercialise an idea and covers a broad range of knowledge areas.
Students benefit from opportunities to work on projects that have direct relevance to their work.
Structure
The Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation forms the third stage in a three-stage nested suite of programs consisting of:
- Graduate Certificate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GC-ENTINN3)
- Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GD-ENTINN3) ^
- Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (MA-ENTINN4)
- Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Advanced) (MA-MEIADV)
^ Students are unable to enrol directly into the Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship and Innovation but it is available as an exit award.
A student cannot be awarded two masters level courses from the same nested suite.
This means you can complete more units and graduate faster, or take breaks when you need to.- 8 core units (100 credit points)
- 4 elective units including (50 credit points)

Entry requirements
- a recognised bachelor degree in a related discipline or
- a recognised bachelor degree in any discipline PLUS a minimum of two years equivalent full-time relevant professional experience* or
- completion of the Graduate Certificate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation ** or
- completion of the Postgraduate Qualifying Program PLUS either Higher School Education Study in a related discipline or a minimum of two years equivalent full-time relevant professional experience * (International applicants only)
Learning outcomes
- apply coherent and advanced knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation concepts in diverse contexts and applications using critical thinking
- apply problem solving, design and decision making methodologies to identify and provide innovative solutions to complex problems with intellectual independence
- communicate proficiently in professional practice to a variety of audiences, function as an effective member or leader of a diverse team, and use the basic tools and practices of entrepreneurship within project work
- demonstrate professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, professional accountability and an awareness of professional practices in a global and sustainable context
- apply fundamentals to the analysis, design and operation of a business model using appropriate entrepreneurship and innovation methods and tools
- reflect on and take responsibility for their own learning and self-management processes, and manage their own time and processes effectively by regularly reviewing performance as a means of managing continuing professional development and lifelong learning
- apply knowledge of research principles and methods to plan and execute a piece of research with some independence.
