About
The Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Advanced) offers students the opportunity to gain specialist knowledge and research skills in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.
The course is tailored to both those who want to create new enterprises and those who want to bring new attitudes and possibilities to existing ventures.
The skills taught are transferable to organisations of all sizes, whether public sector, private sector or non-profit.
This postgraduate program provides a unique opportunity for students to gain specialised entrepreneurship and innovation knowledge and is intended for students who want to focus on a particular area of their career or consultancy, or as preparation for their PhD.
Structure
The Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Advanced) forms the third stage in a three-stage nested suite of programs consisting of:
- Graduate Certificate of Entrepreneurship and Innovation
- Graduate Diploma of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (GD-ENTINN3) ^
- Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation orMaster of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Advanced) (MA-MEIADV)
- 9 core units (112.5 credit points)
- 7 elective units (87.5 credit points)
OR
- 9 core units (112.5 credit points)
- 2 research options (37.5 credit points)
- 4 elective units (50 credit points)
The maximum level of credit that can be granted for the Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Advanced) is 100 credit points (normally eight units)

Entry requirements
- a recognised bachelor degree any discipline or
- completion of the Postgraduate Qualifying Program (International applicants only)
Learning outcomes
- apply coherent and advanced knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation concepts in diverse contexts and applications using critical thinking
- apply problem solving, design and decision making methodologies to identify and provide innovative solutions to complex problems with intellectual independence
- communicate proficiently in professional practice to a variety of audiences, function as an effective member or leader of a diverse team, and use advanced tools and practices of entrepreneurship within project work
- demonstrate professionalism, integrity, ethical conduct, professional accountability and a deep awareness of professional practices in a global and sustainable context
- apply entrepreneurship fundamentals to the analysis, design and operation of a business model using appropriate entrepreneurship and innovation methods and tools, applied in a variety of contexts
- reflect on and take responsibility for their own learning and self-management processes, and manage their own time and processes effectively by regularly reviewing performance as a means of managing continuing professional development and lifelong learning
- undertake a piece of independent research that makes an original and significant contribution to research in the relevant discipline area and in preparation for research higher degrees
