Exclusive to high achieving students (ATAR of 98+), the program is designed to equip you with those highly-valued skills by enriching your learning experience with leadership training, travel opportunities and mentoring from academics and experienced engineers.
Through these experiences you’ll develop professional skills such as communication, teamwork and project management, enhancing your employability prospects and embarking you on a promising career in engineering or computing.As part of your degree you will undertake the award-winning Professional Engagement Program enabling you to change your approach to learning through self-reflection and extra-curricular activities throughout your degree.
Entry requirements
Admission criteria
Admission as a Dalyell scholar is on the basis of the following criteria:
- a secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents) with an ATAR of 98 or equivalent, or the first year of full time study in a bachelor's degree with an average mark of 80 or equivalent.
- English language requirements where these are not demonstrated by sufficient qualifications taught in English.
Admission pathways are open to domestic applicants on the basis of equity or other adjustment factors. To be considered for admission as a Dalyell scholar via an admission pathway, as a guide, the following minimum ATARs are required:
- minimum ATAR of 95 for Broadway, E12 and Future Leaders applicants
- minimum ATAR of 90 for Cadigal (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) applicants
