The Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Coursework) is an additional year of intensive study that high achieving studentsmay undertake after completing an undergraduate degree.
The program complements your prior studies and deepens your expertise in your chosen field, increasing your graduate employability.The Bachelor of Advanced Studies is available to students who have completed an eligible bachelor’s degree at the University of Sydney or another university.This course will enhance your knowledge and collaborative problem-solving and critical thinking skills through challenging coursework and an advanced project.
This is an opportunity to experience work outside the classroom by collaborating across disciplines on a substantial real-world project in a professional, community or entrepreneurial setting.You will graduate from the Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Coursework) equipped with attributes highly valued by employers and the skills and experience to pursue a variety of careers.Alternatively, if you wish to undertake an independent research project under academic supervision, you may wish to consider the honours pathway of the Bachelor of Advanced Studies.

Entry requirements
Admission requirement
To qualify for admission to the Bachelor of Advanced Studies (Coursework), you must:
- have completed a bachelor degree from the University of Sydney or an equivalent qualification from another tertiary institution in time to commence advanced coursework in the semester for which entry is sought;
- have completed two majors or study deemed by the supervising faculty to be of comparable depth, of which at least one major is in a disciplinary area relevant to your application
