Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies (Sports Coaching)

The Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies (Sports Coaching) has been designed for elite-level coaches and experienced elite athletes seeking to become coaches.Candidates will build on their technical expertise by developing skills in communicating ideas clearly to athletes, organising training sessions for maximum impact, giving and receiving feedback, using technology as a coaching tool, planning training programs, and remaining up-to-date with coaching trends.

Admission requirement

Admission to candidature requires:

• a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification and either the completion of relevant postgraduate studies or a minimum of two yearscoaching/sporting experience at an elite level; or
• Level 2 National Coaching Accreditation Scheme accreditation or equivalent and either the completion of relevant postgraduate studies or a minimum of four yearscoaching/sporting experience at an elite level.
