Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management

Designed for technically skilled graduates with a background in some of the basic aspects of IT management, the Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management will supplement and extend your practical skills and theoretical knowledge.You will be able to study a selection of postgraduate subjects covering a core set of IT management topics.

You will also have the opportunity to select from a number of elective topics to expand your studies in related areas.

You may undertake this course full time over one year or part time over two years.The graduate diploma builds on the foundation of the graduate certificate.

You may count coursework undertaken in this graduate diploma towards the requirements for the Master of Information Technology Management.

Admission criteria

To be eligible for admission, an applicant is required to have:

• an Australian bachelor's degree in information technology and information systems with a credit average (60 percent) or equivalent qualification or
• an Australian Bachelor of Engineering degree with a credit average (60 percent) and a major sequence of study in computing engineering, software engineering, or equivalent qualification or
• an Australian bachelor's degree in an unrelated discipline with a credit average (65 percent) and two years' professional work experience in the information technology industry, or equivalent qualifications or
• a University of Sydney Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management with a credit average (65 percent). Units completed in the graduate certificate can be credited to the graduate diploma.

For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and entry requirements are determined based on the country, institution and qualification.
