This professional certificate will equip surgeons with knowledge of evidence-based surgical techniques to extend the role of breast conservation and improve the aesthetics of breast conservation surgery.

It will inform sequencing of treatments and surgical decision making, particularly with regard to breast reconstruction options when mastectomy is necessary.

Admission criteria

Admission to the Sydney Professional Certificate in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery requires students to be a:

  • Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgery or equivalent; and
  • BreastSurgANZ Post Fellowship trainee or practising breast surgeon with full membership of BreastSurgANZ or equivalent.
