The Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) is a flexible fully online degree with optional face-to-face components for clinicians and clinical researchers to learn the skills needed to generate high quality clinical research, and to find, interpret, and evaluate research evidence to improve patient care outcomes.Designed for busy professionals, this course is delivered in a flexible format with online, block-mode or face-to-face delivery options available.Throughout this degree, you will learn how to integrate theory into your day-to-day work as you develop the research skills required by many clinical training positions.Our courses are designed to meet the needs of both the ‘users’ of clinical epidemiology (those who want their clinical decision-making to be based on the best available evidence), and the ‘doers’ of clinical epidemiology (those who want to learn the skills required to do high quality clinical research).
Entry requirements
Admission criteria
A successful applicant for admission to the Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) requires a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification.
In exceptional circumstances the dean may admit applicants without these qualifications who, in the opinion of the school, have qualifications and evidence of experience and achievement sufficient to successfully undertake the award.
Applicants must complete the admission supplementary form and demonstrate how you meet each criterion for the award of Commonwealth Supported Places and Clinical Epidemiology Scholarships. Upload the academic transcripts from all your previous degrees, your CV and any additional evidence such as certificates for any prizes and/or awards to the online admission application system.
