The Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Psychiatry) will extend the knowledge and understanding of the neuro-scientific basis of psychiatry and expertise in critical appraisal and research design obtained in the Master of Medicine (Psychiatry).This course is only available to students currently enrolled in the Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) who meet the requirements for admission.Applicants need to have achieved an average mark of at least a 75 per cent in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream specific units of study.Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) are available for this course for eligible domestic students.
This means that your course fees are subsidised by the Australian Government and you pay a student contribution amount (SCA).
CSP places are limited in number and are allocated based on academic merit.

Admission criteria
Admission to the Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Psychiatry) requires:
- completion of the requirements for the Master of Medicine (Psychiatry)
- an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream units of study; and
- any other requirements as stated by the faculty at the time of application.
