This course is only available to students currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Medicine (General Practice and Primary Health Care) who meet the requirements for admission (see below).The Master of Science in Medicine (Advanced) (General Practice and Primary Health Care) is designed for registered nurses.
Following completion of the requirements for the Master's students complete a supervised research project.The course provides a wide range of relevant study areas, some specific to general practice and primary health care and others aimed at extending knowledge and skills, such as dermatology, diabetes and obesity, clinical teaching, mental health, public health and ethics.Designed for working professionals, the course is largely delivered online, using a case based approach that allows flexible integration of your studies with your professional and personal life.
Entry requirements
Admission criteria
Admission to the Master of Science in Medicine (Advanced) (General Practice and Primary Health Care) requires:
- completion of the requirements for the Master of Science in Medicine (General Practice and Primary Health Care)
- an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream units of study
- any other requirements as stated by the faculty at the time of application.
