BACHELOR OF COMMUNICATION DESIGN

Our Bachelor of Communication Design is well respected nationally and around the world.

It will give you the confidence and knowledge to make you job-ready for a career in graphic design, advertising, publishing, packaging, and art direction.

You’ll be skilled across the full spectrum of visual design – from traditional print work to state-of-the-art digital design.

Led by industry professionals, you’ll discover the building blocks of typography and learn about idea generation, digital media, design research, information design, and more.

You’ll also become skilled in using Photoshop and Illustrator.

An emphasis on creativity, design thinking and problem solving will add depth to your practice.

You will explore the theory and practice of information design, and learn how to communicate with images, from initial concepts through to sophisticated visuals using a variety of media.

In the Design Studio you’ll collaborate with other students, as you would in a real-world studio, and follow briefs to come up with practical and effective outcomes that are ideal for their audience.

And in your final year, you’ll discover the reality, constraints and satisfaction of working with a client on a major live project.

The design work you do throughout your study will contribute to your professional portfolio – your passport to a serious design career.
