This postgraduate degree is offered as part of a suite of three programs (graduate certificate, graduate diploma and master).
Each qualification extends to the next, so you can easily transition to a master level qualification.
If you finish this graduate certificate and want to do further study, consider going on to the Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Engineering Management) or the Master of Engineering (Engineering Management).

Applicants are required to have a completed Bachelor degree qualification in engineering, science or technology, or equivalent from a recognised higher education institution;
Learning outcomes
You will learn fundamental engineering theories in areas such as quality management, project planning and control, energy management and intelligent manufacturing systems.
For each course you study, you will need to allocate time for various classes such as lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars and practicals. Plus you will need additional hours to study in your own time to complete assignments, readings and projects and contribute to online discussion forums. So as a general rule, if you are studying full-time you would need to allocate 12 – 26 hours of study when at university and 14 – 28 hours of independent study per week.

- energy manager: monitoring and reducing energy usage; understanding where and how energy is used; highlight energy reduction across business, projects and work sites
- quality assurance manager: working with management and staff to establish procedures and quality standards and to monitor these against agreed targets; writing management and technical reports; determining training needs; promoting change and improvement in performance and quality
- engineering business development manager: developing and maintaining excellent client relationships; working with new and existing clients to create new business and identify new markets; proposing business ventures, providing project details, writing business proposals, meeting business revenue targets
