The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) provides an alternative final year of study for high achieving students who have demonstrated excellence in the first three years of the Bachelor of Social Work (347).

Students who complete the Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) will develop research capabilities that prepare them for postgraduate or research degrees in Social Work, or professional roles involving applied research.

Accreditation is currently being sought from the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Structure

The Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) requires the successful completion of 192 credit points of subjects in accordance with the subject progression table below. The Honours grade will be calculated in accordance with University of Wollongong Method 1. For further information refer to Coursework Rules.
