The Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) is a four-year program that develops the analytical rigour needed for a high-powered career in finance and economics, whether in the international banking sector or beyond.

In this first program of its kind in Australia, you will work with an elite cohort of exceptionally driven students, gain access to leading academics, researchers and corporate practitioners, and study advanced courses from your first year that cover topics including microeconomics, macroeconomics, financial management, financial accounting, econometrics, and tools of economic analysis.

At the end of year 3 students decide to take a general pathway or a research pathway (ie major) in either economics or finance.

Entry requirements

To complete the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours)

To fulfil the requirements of the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours), a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.

A student is required to obtain 64 units from the BAdvFin&Econ(Hons) course listcomprising - (a) 44 units for Part A; and (b) either - 16 units for a major from Part B and 4 units from Part C; or 16 units from Part C and 4 units from Part D. Refer to the BAdvFin&Econ(Hons) rules for further information.
