Politics, Philosophy and Economics (Honours)

University of Queensland

About

This 4 year program offers an integrated, cross-disciplinary perspective that combines broad and rigorous training in the foundations of politics, philosophy and economics.

Students will study insights from all three disciplines and will explore current and future global challenges.

This program will equip graduates with versatile skills to address complex and challenging issues drawing on an historical, social, political and economic knowledge base.

From year 2, students may choose to specialise in one discipline, earning a major in politics, philosophy or economics.

Students who choose not to take a major will instead choose elective courses from all three disciplines.

All students must choose to take either the 6 unit thesis course (PPES4202) or the 2 unit team project course (PPES4201).

Note - entry to PPES4202 is restricted to students who have a GPA of 6.25 over their first 24 units of study in the program.

Further, students are responsible for finding their own thesis supervisor.

All students will graduate with Honours regardless of the pathway they choose to take.
