About
The Master of Advanced Economics is our flagship masters program and offers high-level, cutting edge training in formal techniques of economic analysis and econometrics at a level similar to the first year in a US PhD program.
This program can be used a) As a pathway to a PhD b) As a standalone advanced Economics training credential appropriate for private and public sector professional economists.
The Master of Advanced Economics (16 units) is designed for students who have previously completed a bachelor honours degree or a postgraduate degree in economics or a cognate discipline and achieved outstanding results.
It has been specifically designed to develop advanced technical skills in Economics.
Applications will be considered in two rounds during the year.
However, commencement in the program is only in February each year.
Application deadlines are 30 April and 30 September each year.
The selection committee will review all completed applications in a competitive process after the deadlines;
only those with complete documentation will be reviewed.

Entry requirements
To complete the Master of Advanced Economics
To fulfil the requirements of the Master of Advanced Economics, a student must complete the requisite number of courses chosen from the course list in accordance with the Program Rules.
